The HT20 Hot Tap Tool is the safest way to cut a hole into existing pipeline under pressure. (This means you do not need to stop the machines or depressurize the air when cutting the hole)
Application
The HT20 hot tapping tool is designed to drill 3/4″ holes into compressed air pipes under pressure through 3/4” ball valves. The HT20 can be used in stainless steel, carbon steel, copper and PVC Pipe. And it will work for any pipe size
Brief Explanation on the Operation
The HT20 can be used with a hot tap clamp or welded socket. Before cutting the hole a 3/4″ SUS ball valve is installed and we suggest that a pressure test is done to ensure that there is no leak around the joint and valve. When cutting the hole always make sure that constant low pressure is applied to the drill head and the always make sure 2 rounds are completed before advancing the drill head again.
Ensure that the purge air is pointed away from the operators face and Do Not every reverse the drill direction.
